Ortataxel - Phase 2

A third generation taxane classified as a new entity

Target Indications
  • Solid tumors (lung, breast, kidney, etc.)
  • Has potential to be active in tumors resistant to Taxol® (paclitaxel) and Taxotere®

Route of Administration
  • Intravenous
  • orally bioavailable

LFA Mode of Action
  • Microtubule stabilization leading to mitotic arrest
  • Overcomes taxane resistence based on PgP-170 overexpression

Lucanthone Mode of Action
  • Safety data from Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies show a similar toxicity/tolerance profile to paclitaxel

Ortaxatel Status
  • Phase 2 studies in taxane-refractory solid tumors have indicated a substantial level of activity
